Cessnock Kairos Inside # 22, was held from Monday 19th to Thursday 22nd October, 2015 & was led by Steve Meadows (Catholic Diocese Newcastle – Maitland).

Kairos Inside # 21 was experienced in Cessnock Correctional Centre from 13th to 16th October, 2014, with the Kairos Prison Ministry volunteers. The team was made up of volunteers from various Christian churches, throughout the Hunter Valley, led by course director, Bill NIcolle (South Lakes Anglican Parish).
The program brings the Christian message of God’s unconditional love to the incarcerated. The Cessnock Kairos courses are ably assisted by the two Prison Chaplains, Reverend Di Langham (Anglican) & Captain David Prigg (Salvation Army). Many blessings were witnessed and shared, as the course participants opened their hearts and minds, (and stomachs!) to the many and various forms of Agape, given by team & supporters, in and outside the Correctional Centre . Agape (are practical forms of Christian love), plays a major role in this, as it demonstrates tangible examples of God’s love for His people.
As this ministry depends on volunteers to support and run a Kairos program, all Anglicans are especially encouraged to come and experience this Ministering Community in Mission. We have available CD’s & DVD’s, available, at no cost, which explain what this ministry is about & any of the committee will come and talk to your church, or home group.
