MEN’S WEEKEND AWAY

Tahlee accommodation

2016 MEN’S WEEKEND AWAY–  Applications available for Download below: – Theme: God, You and the Work you Do (incorporating ‘Retirement’ / ‘Retyrement’)  Dates: 20th – 22nd May 2016  – Venue: Tahlee (no change from last year) – Cost: $100 – $200 (depending on accommodation option and relevant concession)

Main Speaker: Andrew McClenaghan, a farmer and lay preacher who attends Narrabri Anglican church in north western NSW.

Other Speakers: include Nathan Killick (evangelistic talk), Brian Walsh (Cursillo) and Adam Matthews (ANew church assistant minister/Matthews jewellers)

The event will be hosted by Cursillo and the Newcastle Diocese, and will be led by members of several Anglican churches including All Saints New Lambton, the ANeW congregation at Lambton, and those involved in organising previous “Beer, Bible and Football” weekends. While the primary audience is Anglican men of all ages in our diocese, other men would be very welcome to attend, in particular Cursillo members from other church traditions.

The Bible teaching and lay talks will be suited to men of all ages and stages of Christian understanding, including those still investigating the claims of Jesus. The organising team’s prayer is that we will all grow in Christian maturity, meet and be encouraged by other Christian men from around the Hunter region, and have the opportunity bring our friends to a worthwhile and life-changing weekend.
